Dave Ryan, owner and founder of DBJ Pools, brings over three decades of construction expertise to every project. Beginning his career as an apprentice carpenter at just 18 years old, Dave honed his skills framing houses, building stairs and rafters, and eventually earning his journeyman carpenter certification. His diverse construction background includes residential home building and railroad bridge construction, demonstrating the versatility and technical precision that defines his approach to every project. Since 2015, Dave has successfully operated DBJ Construction, specializing in custom deck construction and building a stellar reputation throughout East Tennessee.
The natural expansion into pool construction came as Dave recognized the growing needs of his loyal deck customers who sought to complete their outdoor living spaces. With the necessary equipment already in place and a proven track record of excellence through DBJ Construction, adding pool installation services was a strategic evolution of the business. Today, Dave operates DBJ Pools alongside two of his sons, David II and Blake, creating a family-driven company that combines generational craftsmanship with modern techniques.
